Not sure if Sissy Gee is buying this pool thing yet. She prefers to be holding on tight to someone rather than being in a floaty.

MAYFEST 2009 (three days of fun fun fun)

Finally I am old enough to drive my own choo choo train.
The fun house was a big hit with all the kids, I lost track how many times they went through it.

I am so proud.....
Ok I have to toot my husband's horn.
This is my neighbor's new deck.
It is pretty awesome.
My husband built this all by himself.
Can you believe how great it looks, and sturdy oh man you can dance on this baby.
I am pretty proud of his work.
Here is another view of the deck...... Larry hand made the rails and reinforced the bottom so this baby will stand long after the house is gone.

Micheal vick should not return to football!!!!!
This is not the type of person we want our children to look up to.
What he did and supported was horrific.
He doesn't need fame and fortune he needs rehabilitation and mental help.
People out there feel that what he did was ok and he should not be held accountable, these people may also become the next person to abuse and kill your family members. Mass murders usually have a past history of animal abuse.
We need to make a stand against this becoming OK.
If Micheal Vick is truly sorry he needs to prove it off the field, show us that he is not acting to get back in good graces so he can start making the money again and resume his abusive lifestyle.
Voice your opinion not to let Vick back into football to the NFL commisioner.
This is dear to my heart, I have cared for and raised animals that have been abused in the past and it is wrong. Imagine yourself or your child being treated like these animals are on a day to day basis and tell me you would not go crazy. THIS IS WHY PIT BULLS ARE TROUBLED. It isn't the breed it is the way they are treated.And yes for twelve wonderful years I owned a Pit Bull and he was wonderful. He was one of the lucky ones he escaped his abuser and found a loving home.

• In March 2003, after two Bad Newz Kennels dog lost fights to dogs owned by a cooperating witness, it alleged that Vick retrieved a bag containing $23,000 and gave it to the owner of the winning dogs. One of the fights had a $20,000 purse;
• In the fall of 2003, a person witnessing a dog fight involving one of the dogs trained by Bad Newz Kennels incurred the ire of another cooperating witness by yelling out Vick's name in front of the crowd during the fight.
It also said that after establishing Bad Newz Kennels in early 2002, Vick and the others obtained shirts and headbands promoting their affiliation with the kennel.
After a police raid on the property in April, Vick said he was rarely at the house, had no idea it may have been used in a criminal enterprise. He blamed family members for taking advantage of his generosity.
On Vick's Web site, he lists his birthplace as Newport News, "a.k.a. BadNews."
Purses for the fights ranged from hundreds of dollars to the thousands, and participants and spectators placed side bets, the document said.
Local authorities have been investigating the allegations since the April 25 drug raid at the property Vick owned. On June 7, officials with the Department of Agriculture executed their own search warrant and found the remains of seven dogs.
Surry County prosecutor Gerald G. Poindexter said he didn't know of the indictment before it was filed, and said he's not sure how the county will continue its case.
At the start, authorities seized 66 dogs, including 55 pit bulls, and equipment commonly used in dogfighting. About half the dogs were tethered to car axles with heavy chains that allowed the dogs to get close to each other, but not to have contact -- an arrangement typical for fighting dogs, according to the search warrant affidavit.
The indictment said dogfights were held at the Virginia property and dog owners brought animals from six states, including New York and Texas.
In a search warrant executed July 6, the government said the fights usually occurred late at night or in the early morning and would last several hours.
Before fights, participating dogs of the same sex would be weighed and bathed, according to the filings. Opposing dogs would be washed to remove any poison or narcotic placed on the dog's coat that could affect the other dog's performance.
Sometimes, dogs weren't fed to "make it more hungry for the other dog," it said.

Last weekend with the Grandparents
Harmon and Hayden loved the staircase at the grandparents. From peeking thru the rails to dropping little balls down the stairs. It was a fun place to play.

sad news today
I am usually not one to ask but it's been a long day and I could sure use a little sidenote in your prayers . Diego passed away today (Easter Morning), while we were at church. He was 17 and I knew the end was near, but he was one of those special blessings and it has been a little harder on Harmon and I (ok especially me) than expected. Diego was one of those great cats that loves being with people especially children. One day a young girl scouts stopped by our house to deliver cookies, he had never met this little girl but they became so hooked to each other, she and her mother stayed at the house an hour so she could play with him. He was very much a part of my kids lives and even foster mommied 3 abandoned kittens in his younger days. I keep telling myself he was just a barn cat that a coworker brought to me when I said my dream cat was a long haired orange cat, but I can't lie to myself he was something more. My family was lucky to have him in our lives and he will be missed.
Diego always had to be sitting with the baby whether it was Harmon, Hayden, or Hadley he kept close to them. (last pictures of Diego spring 2009)

Good boys get rewarded
We have begun the G buck system. They earn G bucks for helping around the house, not fighting, taking care of the pets etc. They loss G bucks for doing bad things. Once they have earned enough bucks they can turn them in for rewards. Most of you proably know this system as the Long buck system. (she didn't mind me stealing the idea for my kids.)

Christmas at home
Christmas Brunch
Hadley got a pink rattle among other things
Hadley's swing died the day after christmas ( I think Hayden wore it out when it was his) so I got her this brand new totally girly one with all the whistles, bells and a light show. I actually wasn't going to get this fancy of one until I found out it plugged into the wall and didn't run on batteries. With as much as Hadley like to swing in the long run this one will be a money saver!!! Doesn't she look spoiled wrotten cute in it.
Spike the dinosaur was the BIG gift for Harmon. We waited til the very end, started cleaning up the christmas wrapping paper tonado that had hit our living room, and sadly told Harmon that Spike had not made it under the tree. (side note - he has been asking for spike since October and told Santa that he could give Hayden and Hadley all the rest of the gifts all he wanted was Spike). If I ever can figure out how to add video I will post his reaction when spike came walking through the dining room. It was priceless!!!!!!
Are you seeing a theme here? Dinosaurs were the BIG gifts this year so of course Hayden had to get one too. Hayden is in charge of feeding and petting his dino. Yes, he was a little afraid of it when he touched it and it roared and moved towards him. Big BoBo had to show him it was ok and they got on his back and played together with "saur". Hayden can't say Dinosaur yet so he calls him Saur.
Sometimes you get so excited you fall over your gift as you are unwrapping it!
